John Vernon

John Vernon has been married to his wife, Janet, since December 1985. After serving as a church planting strategist with the International Mission Board in Central Asia for 14 years, John served on staff at Miner Baptist Church as the associate pastor of family and children ministries for five years. He has been serving as Director of Missions since March 2013 and assists churches throughout the southeast region of Missouri in the area of revitalization as part of the MBC Resound Network. John has received training as a consultant for the LifeWay Transformational Church Assessment Tool and Transitional Pastor Training. In addition he is certified as a Church Revitalization Pathfinder, Transitional Revitalization Pastor and Trainer, and Coach through Corpus Vitae. Beginning January 2022, he is also serving as a trainer for the NAMB SEND Church Planter Training Center.

Roger Graham

Roger Graham and his wife Delores have been married since November of 1990 and they have 2 children Rachel and David.  Delores is an Admin Asst at Christian School for the Young Years.

Roger graduated from SEMO in May of 1987 with degrees in accounting and finance.  After graduating he moved to St Louis and worked in accounting until surrendering to the ministry in the spring of 1996.  The family moved to Wake Forest, NC so Roger could attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in International Church Planting.  From seminary they went overseas with the IMB in July of 1999 serving in multiple locations for 15+ years.

They returned to the United States in December 2015.  Roger served as pastor of Red Star Baptist Church until February 2017 and came to the Cape Girardeau Baptist Association in June of 2017.

Daryl Thompson

When we recognized our need for a person to improve our communications with the churches and better serve the individual needs of our bivocational pastors, we determined to create a new position to meet this need with excellence. No position can fulfill these expectations without a great servant. Daryl is a retired pastor who also served in a DOM type role in the northern US. You will find him to be a great listener and eager to learn about you and your ministry. He is also currently serving as the interim pastor at New Bethel and doing an exceptional job.
